Upcoming Events:
- Spirit Days
- Friday, Feb. 17 – Invisible Ink Pens ($2)
- Read Across America (Mar. 1)
- Breakfast in the Gym from 7:30-8:30am, will include muffins and juice
- Guest readers will read to classes and Cat in the Hat will visit (in honor of Dr. Seuss)
- Talent Show (May)
- Need help desperately – if no one will take over, there will be no Talent Show this year
- School Carnival (May)
- Current plan is to switch School Carnival out with a Family Picnic/Walk-a-Thon to happen mid-May
Discussion:
- Spirit Days
- Making switch to selling candy bars directly in the classrooms seems to be going well and is better received
- OT T-Shirts are now available!
- Cookie Dough
- New company (Great American Opportunities) has offered to be our provider
- Tubs would sell for $15, compared to Otis Spunkmeyer raising prices to $16/tub
- Prizes/motivators would be in a book that kids can work toward, GAO offered to pay for 50% of prize for top-selling class
- Pickups would occur twice with offer of extra motivating assembly halfway through
- Spiffs include $250 shopping spree from GAO catalogue and other things worth approximately $600 in total incentives
- Deliveries would be pre-sorted per student
- Only real question at this point is how the product tastes, but PTA is being sent samples to try it
