The Twin Falls School District (TFSD) announces upcoming changes to its administrative leadership team, reflecting exciting professional advancements and strategic reassignments. These changes will take effect for the 2025-26 school year.
Ryan Bowman, TFSD’s Director of Operations, has been selected as the next superintendent of the Wendell School District. Mr. Bowman has served the TFSD community with dedication and expertise, overseeing critical operational aspects of the district’s facilities, maintenance, and logistics for the past eight years. While we will miss his leadership, we are proud to see him take this next step in his career.
To fill this role, Dr. L.T. Erickson, currently the Director of Secondary Programs, will transition to the Director of Operations position. With prior operations experience and a strong background in district leadership, Dr. Erickson is well-prepared to oversee the operational needs of the district while ensuring a seamless transition.
L.T. Erickson started his career in education 30 years ago as a bus driver in Laramie, Wyoming, while going to school. He previously worked as a high school mathematics teacher in Las Vegas (1997-2002) and one year as a Dean of Students (2002-2003). In 2003, the Erickson family moved to Burley, Idaho, where Erickson taught mathematics, and was the Activities Director, the football and golf coach at Oakley High School. He was the assistant principal and activities director at American Falls High School from 2004 to 2007. In 2007, Erickson accepted a position in the Snake River School District. From 2007 to 2010, he was the principal at Snake River Junior High, the Director of Technology (2007-2012), and the Director of Federal Programs and Curriculum and Assessment from 2010-2012. In 2012, Erickson came to the Twin Falls School District as the Director of Secondary Programs. In 2015, Erickson earned his doctorate degree in Administrative Leadership from Walden University. Dr. Erickson served as part of the advisory committee and worked with Dr. Dickinson on various aspects of South Hills Middle School’s construction.
Stepping into the role of Director of Secondary Programs will be Wendy Ohlensehlen, the current Director of Elementary Programs. Mrs. Ohlensehlen’s extensive knowledge and proven success in both the elementary and secondary areas around curriculum development, student achievement, and instructional leadership will bring valuable insights to her new role.
Wendy Ohlensehlen previously worked as the Assistant Superintendent and K-12 Curriculum Director for the Jerome School District from 2020-2024. Previously, she served as an elementary principal at Horizon Elementary School in Jerome from 2017 to 2020, a School Guidance Counselor and Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Jerome High School and Counselor at Jerome Middle School from 2006 to 2017, and an integrated technology teacher at Jerome Middle School from 1997 to 2006. Ohlensehlen received a Bachelor of Science from Utah State University in 1997, a Master of Education in School Guidance Counseling from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2007, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Executive Educational Leadership from Boise State University in 2018. Ohlensehlen has worked in education for 27 years and holds many Idaho education endorsements including superintendent, school principal, CTE administrator, director of special education, and school guidance counseling.
With these changes, the Director of Elementary Programs position will be open for application. The Twin Falls School District is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to guide our elementary education programs and continue advancing excellence in student outcomes. Applications for this role will be accepted beginning [insert date].
Superintendent Dr. Brady Dickinson remarked, “We are excited to celebrate these leaders as they grow in their careers and take on new responsibilities. Each of these changes reflects the depth of talent within our district and our commitment to ensuring strong leadership for the future of our schools.”
The Twin Falls School District is confident these changes will position the district for continued success while honoring our mission to inspire, engage, and empower every student.
