The Twin Falls School District is pleased to announce Janet Peacock as the new Associate Principal of Oregon Trail Elementary School, beginning with the 2025–26 school year.
Peacock brings nearly three decades of experience in education to her new role, including a broad background in both instructional leadership and classroom teaching. She is currently serving as an instructional coach at Robert Stuart Middle School, where she works closely with educators to support best practices in teaching and learning. Before that, she taught social studies at the school and served in various leadership roles, including Building Leadership Team Lead, 6th Grade Lead, and Social Studies Department Lead.
“Janet is a collaborative, student-centered leader who brings both international experience and a deep commitment to student success in Twin Falls,” said Tana Schoeder, Oregon Trail Elementary Principal. “Her background as a teacher, coach, and committee leader positions her well to support students, staff, and families at Oregon Trail.”
Before joining the Twin Falls School District, Peacock taught for over a decade in South Africa, where she served in both classroom and community leadership roles. She also held a long-term leadership position at Moyeni Pre-Primary School, where she oversaw school operations, budgeting, and hiring.
Peacock recently completed her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Primary Education from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
“I’m honored to join the Oregon Trail community and excited to support its students and staff,” said Peacock. “I believe in fostering strong relationships and building a school culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to grow.”
