🎉 Congratulations, Claire Oberg, Certified Employee of the Month for May! 🎉
Claire is a Special Education Teacher at Oregon Trail.
Claire is right here from Twin Falls and is a CRHS graduate! She is dedicated and most people don’t know that she is fluent in American Sign Language. She likes to do CrossFit, read, and spend time with her people. Someday, she would like to travel to New Zealand and Australia, she also hopes to be remembered as a lifelong learner. She chose this career to support students and their families in any way that she can. “All students have potential for greatness regardless of their varying abilities.” Her best day on the job is celebrating all the “wins” from her students and hearing “let’s go to Oberg’s class.”
Principal Note:
Ms. Oberg exemplifies dedication and innovation in supporting students with diverse needs. She fosters an environment of inclusivity and students feel valued and loved. She has quickly emerged as a leader with in the school. Her positive attitude and proactive approach to problem solving make her an invaluable resource in any situation. Oregon Trail is lucky to have her!

👏 Applause to Kayla Florio, Classified Employee of the Month for May! 👏
Kayla is a paraeducator at Oregon Trail Elementary.
Kayla is from Apollo, Pennsylvania, and is described as funny and outgoing. She likes reading, gardening, and taking care of her chickens. Many people don’t know that she is left-handed and used to be a dental assistant. She chose this career because she loves helping kids. After all, they are our future. She is inspired by strong and happy individuals, and of course, her mama. Her pet peeve is a dirty house/workplace. Someday, she would like to fly to Iceland and see the northern lights, and she would like to be remembered as someone compassionate and kind towards everyone. Her best day on the job is every day because she gets to come and interact with the kids and her supervisors.
Principal Note:
Kayla has a remarkable gift for working with children, building trust and connection with ease. In her first year, she has embraced every aspect of the role with dedication and enthusiasm, quickly becoming a trusted and valued member of our team. Kayla consistently goes above and beyond, always willing to help wherever needed. Her positive attitude and heart for students are inspiring.

Monthly Fire Drills, Student Drawn Teacher Portraits, Long Term Sub Appreciation (we love you Mrs. Diaz), Miniature Rooms from novels that were read this year, and Mini Career Day with Ms. Denny's son. There were roughly 15 questions that students had for him about sound design, college, his girlfriend, and Ms. Denny. He was so sweet and took an hour out of his day to answer each one thoroughly. He even had questions for the students.
