Third Grade won the attendance competition last week with an outstanding 98.5% attendance! All grades were over 95%! Way to go Oregon Trail.

It’s hard to believe, but the first quarter is already wrapping up!

Please note that this coming Friday, October 16, will be an early dismissal day for students.

Report cards will be heading home soon, making this weekend the perfect time to chat with your student about their goals and celebrate their hard work so far this autumn!

Week 8 was great! 🎉

Suve visited two classrooms this week! In Ms. Maxwell’s class, students reviewed learning targets, recited the pledge, and reflected on the previous day. In Ms. Strom’s class, students watched Mrs. Willsey’s morning meeting videos and practiced focusing their attention. We even had some accidental twinning happening around Oregon Trail! 👯

Boot Camp in Mrs. Ferrara’s class was a huge success! Students tackled math challenges, built confidence, and are feeling ready for their upcoming unit test. Students also practiced counting on with a fun game, spinning for sums and graphing their results to see which sum would win! 🎯

Our 5th graders wrapped up the week with a visit to a local college to see Sons of Serendip perform! Students enjoyed an engaging musical experience alongside others from the Twin Falls community. 🎶

Another great week of learning and growing at Oregon Trail! 💙🐺

Congrats, Mrs. Boyle's fifth grade class! They are the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) this week being the ninth correct response on our "What's this song?!?" Wednesday contest. The song this week was a classic spooky piece "Monster Mash" performed by Bobby "Boris" Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers.

Last week, our kindergarteners had the highest attendance at Oregon Trail! Way to go, Kindergarten!

Regular attendance is one of the simplest ways to help your child be successful at school. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of our school community. Thank you for helping your child make school a priority!

❤️ Mrs. Gosselin’s class showed up in RED for Ninjago Day!

🔢 Suve visited Mrs. Shabi’s class during Number Corner, and Ms. Oberg and her amazing team explored a new Bridges Workplace Game!

🧠 In Mrs. Ferrara’s class, math intervention gave students opportunities to build number sense through hands-on learning, skip counting, grouping, exploring multiples, and sharing their mathematical thinking with peers.

💼 Mrs. Seamons’ students took on new classroom jobs, and our fifth graders opened the Boyle Bucks Store for the second time — completely student-run! Way to go, fifth graders!

🤝 Co-teaching is happening throughout our building with our amazing ML teacher, Mrs. Mussio, supporting student learning.

🌿 Ms. Cameron’s students took their learning outside for some hands-on lessons, and our fourth and fifth graders enjoyed visits from our amazing high school helper running the trinket and treats cart!

🎃 Our kindergarteners had a blast visiting Tubbs Berry Farm on Thursday for a pumpkin patch adventure!

🐺 Our fifth graders also headed to Twin Falls High School for the Homecoming Parade. It was SO much fun… and SO hot! ☀️

Mark your calendars, Oregon Trail families! Our first, second and third grade students are learning songs all about animals to share with you!
